*BURNS LIKE {FASHION}

So now that I am soon to turn over a new leaf in my life (pretty significant birthday coming up in a few days) I’ve been reflecting on the last few years. I’ve made decisions. I’ve made mistakes (pretty big ones), I’ve had a few successes, and I’ve created (and broken) some seemingly significant relationships. I’ve had a meltdown here and there, and fun times with loved ones to counter it. All within the last year i’ve had to bury a friend, and host a baby shower. I’ve learned that a good life is not a right, but a privilege. A life is not worth living unless you have loved and been loved. One will never experience success until they have experienced failure. [“fall down seven times, stand up eight”] I’ve learned to keep my friends close, and my enemies closer (they often eventually turn out to be one of the keepers)… Beauty is all in the eye of the beholder, and people are all different so that everyone is beautiful in their own unique way. “I’m sorry” does not mean “I’m weak”; it means that you’re mature enough to realize that a petty argument is not worth ruining an epic friendship. People will walk in and out of your life, but it is the exceptional ones that leave footprints in your heart. Those are the very same people worth holding on to for as long and as tight as you can, for when you fall and can’t get yourself up, they’re right next to you just waiting for the cue to help. I’ve learned to let go of the past and focus on the future. There will always be someone richer, smarter, faster, prettier, and happier than you. The moment you realize you cannot be perfect will be the biggest relief of your life. Learn it early. Ive learned the key to a long, happy life is laughter. Find at least one thing every day to make you laugh. Finally, follow your dreams. It’s never too late; don’t ever give up.
